Protected Species Observer - Field Trial

A.I.S., Inc. (AIS) is a national scientific services firm supporting maritime activities requiring certification of compliance with environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline.

Primary Function:

AIS is recruiting protected species observers to participate in a survey utilizing the next generation of PSO mitigation tools. The PSOs will work in a team during offshore operations which will be conducted during daylight and nighttime hours with an anticipated eight to twelve hours of work per PSO per day. This position is expected to start in September of 2022  for an estimated 30 days of work. Primary duties include evaluating new mitigation. Candidates will be selected based on their past experiences identifying protected species.


Compensation: Candidates will be paid an hourly wage to be negotiated and total compensation will vary depending on employee’s experience. Some travel expenses to and from the staging location will be reimbursed.  This is a full–time temporary position. Meals and lodging provided on vessel.
