PSO/PAM Operator - Mexico

A.I.S., Inc. (AIS) is a national scientific services firm supporting maritime activities requiring certification of compliance with environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline.

Primary Function:

AIS Inc. is recruiting for experienced Protected Species Observers (PSO) and Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Operators to monitor for protected species during planned survey operations offshore on a vessel in Mexican waters. If selected, you will observe the monitoring and exclusion zones around geophysical operations and implement protective measures when necessary. The PSO/PAM operators will work in a team during offshore operations which will be conducted during 24/7 operations with an anticipated 8 to 12 hours of work per day. This position is expected to start in June 2022 for an estimated 4 - 6 weeks of work. Candidates will be selected based on their past experience identifying protected species.


Compensation: Candidates will be paid an hourly rate to be negotiated and total compensation will vary. This is a full–time temporary position. For long term placements on AIS projects, you will reach the eligibility threshold for the AIS benefits package. AIS benefits package includes health and dental insurance, vacation, sick and holiday benefits.
