Geophysical Survey Technician

A.I.S., Inc. (AIS) is a national scientific services firm supporting maritime activities requiring certification of compliance with environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline.

Primary Function:

AIS is recruiting a geophysical survey technician to deploy on a vessel conducting geophysical survey operations off the coast of Rhode Island. AIS is looking for individuals with offshore data collection experience. The geophysical survey technician will be stationed offshore during 24 hour operations. Duties include but are not limited to assisting with deployment/retrieval of gear, monitoring equipment during data acquisition, documenting location, documenting data on logs in an organized manner.  Candidates will be selected based on their past experience in offshore survey work.



Candidates will be paid an hourly wage to be negotiated and total compensation will vary depending on employee’s experience. This is a full–time temporary position.

Minimum Qualifications:


Some travel to and from the staging location will be reimbursed.
