Sr. Programmatic Consultation (ESA/NEPA) Specialist

A.I.S., Inc. (AIS) is a national scientific services firm supporting maritime activities requiring certification of compliance with environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline.

Primary Function:

AIS is looking for several Programmatic Consultation (ESA/NEPA) Specialists to support NOAA’s West Coast Region (WCR). AIS is bidding on select projects that will require interagency consultations under ESA section 7(a)(2), MMPA section 101(a)(5)(D), MSA section 104-297, and NEPA implementation including document preparation activities in the Washington (North Puget Sound, Central Puget Sound, and Washington Coast/Lower Columbia Branches). These positions will focus on providing day-to-day support to the WCR towards meeting obligations under these statutes. This work will include scientific, technical, and administrative tasks to help mitigate the effects on natural resources. If this sounds like you, please reach out!

Duties/Responsibilities:

Compensation: Candidates will be paid an hourly rate to be negotiated and total compensation will vary depending on employee’s availability and fishing effort. This is a full–time position. AIS benefits package includes health and dental insurance, vacation, sick and holiday benefits.
